Hi, I do have my open water certificate now and my gear. I also have my nitrox certification and will be deep dive certified come July. I am interested in diving in Central New York, the St. Lawrence River and Canada or surrounding areas. My gear includes a 7mm wet suit, not a dry suit, so either summer or the swing seasons. I now have 18 dives under my belt.

I just finished eight dives in Puerto Galera on Mindoro in the Philippines. I stayed at Badladz Dive Resort. Great diving. I highly recommend it. Amazing.

I am interested in snorkeling Shaw’s Cove in Laguna Beach, Ca. between December 6th and the 14th, 2016. Yes, I really said snorkel. I would love to dive it but there are 60 stairs going down to the beach and while I might be able to get down to the beach, I question whether I can get my gear back up. None-the-less, I hear it is an amazing snorkeling site and is part of the marine reserve just off the coast of CA. Is anyone game for snorkeliing, or better yet, you have a boat and could dive it minus the sixty steps down the cliff.

I am a new diver. Actually I am doing my open water certification dives next weekend in the St. Lawrence. The plan is for my husband to also become certified but that probably won’t be this year so I will need a dive buddy. I am interested in wreck diving but will only have an open water certification so perhaps something shallow in the St. Lawrence. I have a passport. My schedule is flexible. I am fond of good visibility. Need a buddy?
