Hi Charlie, how do you feel about wet rocks? Rocks like those in caverns of springs.

I couldn’t give an opinion because I’m more in to open water dives, spearfishing and wrecks but have dove a few springs in the Gainesville area and they were interesting.

Which springs did you dive? If you’re ever up this way, and need a buddy, I arrange dives weekly in the springs. :-)

I’ve dove Blue Grotto, Ginnie Springs and Devils Den. If you even make it this way let me know also. I used to dive once a month and then have a kid and had a job that required 30 weeks of travel so in the past 2 years I’ve been in the water 4-5 times. I miss it and finally am finding some new friends that dive so am ready to get my gear wet. I’m taking a few people out Saturday to the Rube Allyn Reef and the Indian Shores Reef.

Congratulations on finding new dive buddies Charlie. This site was instrumental in me connecting to dive buddies too. Now I can’t remember who is who, and I live on my phone texting to verify dives, which I’m really thankful for. I’m equally thankful that I live right next to both Devils Den and Blue Grotto, and so I have quick access to getting air fills, or my gear serviced.
