Got my OW cert in 2009. Always want to dive when time allows. STILL need to finish my cert dives for Deep, Nav, Night. Currently have 21 logged dives.

About not being able to equalize with swimming goggles

You can still get water in your nose with a scuba mask. With swim googles it’s a lot easier, but many divers still suck up water through their nose from time to time even with a scuba mask.

Ok. Thought we were taught in my class as long as 2nd stage was in your mouth water couldn’t get in your nose. Maybe I misunderstood

Yeah, I would strongly disagree with that. Many of my past students have sucked up water through their nose with mask off and 2nd stage in.
