Hi. I became a diver in 1998 as a member of Search and Rescue. My certifications are from Diver Rescue International and SSI. After many years of ongoing training and hundreds of dives, I became the Dive Team Leader. Recently I resigned from Search and Rescue, but continue to enjoy the sport. While the bulk of my diving has been in lakes and rivers, I have had the opportunity to dive Florida’s Ginnie Springs cave systems, Devil’s Eye and Devil’s Hole. This summer my wife got her card with PADI, and this February we are going with friends to spend the month diving in the Bahamas, Florida Keys and look forward to exploring Florida’s caves again.

Hi Dave, Thanks for the add. You live in the area of Montana I hope to dive on a regular basis. We do have some areas to dive herein eastern Montana, of course, but visibility is highly variable. There are a few small lakes with rocky bottoms that have decent visibility. Some with large pike for fishing.
I mentioned a recent trip to McGregor Lake and I was quite impressed. Even with the algae blooms this year I’d say visibility was 45-60’ anyway. Impressively clear for the conditions we have this year. Would you perhaps know of anyone or any dive clubs/ groups planning to dive Flathead or McGregor Lake (MT) during the rest of the month of September ?? I could justify another trip over to get wet before the water freezes. Thanks agin!- Mike
