Sorry it took awhile to reply. I’ve dove in the canals, lakes, rivers and even some golf ponds here locally. The channel islands, rocky point, Utah, San Carlos. This year may make it to San Diago. Nice Wrecks there. Any time there is water deep enough to dive in I’m game!

GOOD LUCK ON YOUR CERT. You will love it !! I am going diving in south Florida using a camera ,I will send photos ...Mike

yah it won’t be too bad. its about 66 degrees or so. I was fine with a 5mm wetsuit, no hood and gloves and 4 dives during holloween. 2 dives a day that won’t be a problem at all. Just work on your buoyancy control and relax. You would be amazed how tired you would get and how fast your gas will go without doing so. Have fun.
swatcopdiver - 11/09/2008 4:23 PM
Will do.
castanagajt - 11/09/2008 3:22 AM
darn that was fast! you did the worksheets go through all the classes already? In like 1 or two days? Yep, the lake and I know how you feel about that. I will be contented to dive in California. How many ow water dives do you need in order to be certified?
swatcopdiver - 11/08/2008 10:41 PM
When we start to get a Keys trip together, I will keep you in the loop. Jeff

so you know that it is saturday. Let me guess orientation. A tease....hmmm then explain the person who commented two comments prior to this post. Yes, I was enlisted. I was a hospital corpsman that served on the "blue side" Navy in conus for 2 years. I served 3 years in the "green side Navy better known as the USMC in Okinawa, Japan for 3 years proudly. I wasn’t certified because of lost papers so I took it again once I got out of the service. I hope that clears that up.
divershaun - 11/08/2008 12:58 AM

Class was definately fun! And you will have no problems I’m sure. Shortly after I finished my class, I went on line and spent better than $4,000 on dive gear. And even now I still spend a few hundred every few months. I need to rent nothing when I go diving. Don’t let that dollar amount scare you, it’s just that I spared no expense, and bought top of the line stuff. Are you taking your clases now? How far along are you? How are you liking it? Where do you think your check out dives will be? Well, good luck to you, take care and have fun!!!

castanagajt - 11/07/2008 3:40 AM
good philosophy behind adding people to be your friends here. My point of view on a mans’ stand point...You are such a tease. Hahaha. I can’t say much I did my first dives in Okinawa but my PADI instructor fumbled my paper work for OW. Luckily I had my own gear and my friends were kind enough to smuggle tanks for me when we would go diving every week. I come to vegas with no gear and no cert so I had to start all over again. Yah strange that you went from cali to where ever you are. Probably it’s a good way to step a foot forward. Let me know how your class is tomorrow will ya’? later.

December 28 - January 10. I’ll be driving from here, Russellville, AR, if that’d help you out. I’m also thinking about going to Bonne Terre Mine over Thanksgiving weekend but not sure about it yet. Trying to save for FL, besides Bonne Terre is only 6 hours away.
Matt65 - 11/06/2008 10:15 PM
Yes, I am only OW certified at the moment. However, I am taking my nitrox class even as we speek. I will be going to Hawaii in December, and while there, I will be doing 4 dives, two of which will be deeper than 100 feet which can be an adventure dive applied towards my advanced certification. When do you actually start your classes?
divershaun - 11/06/2008 7:20 PM
99% of my dives have been in southern california. lol. most of those being at catalina, then a few beach dives in laguna, my first two dives were just off PV, and ive done two dives (just a couple weeks ago) up in monterey. id like to try out some tropical water diving, but i think the california coast will always be my home. lol
KevinLee - 11/06/2008 6:59 PM
