Only problem I had is some of my files were too large (bigger than 2MB). Other than that I have been able to load them up fine. Maybe it’s just a connection problem on your end. Check out my pictures when you’ve got a chance.

yeah i re sized my photos but was still having problems with uploading the pictures. i found out why. well i guess this site is not very Firefox friendly. i use Firefox but i tried with Internet Explorer and they uploaded right up, so problem fixed.

Actually, the notation below is listed right on the upload page.

"Note: Photo file size should be under 2MB. You are allowed to upload 50 total photos"

To get around this I will often just crop my photo slightly smaller since I can’t figure out how to just scale down the memory size. Cropping also makes it look like I got closer to that fish, so win-win.

I use FireFox version 3.0.6 and I can upload files just fine. The photo upload feature is just a basic file upload utility that all browsers should support.

If you can, send me the photo to greg (at) divebuddy.com and I’ll try to diagnose it on my end.

Thanks.

It could also be timing...if many other members are on the site uploading photos at the same time...or if other processing is taking place on my server...you could experience problems. For example, I reboot my web server every morning around 3am CST. And at different parts of the day (usually the inactive times)...I’m running maintenance or scheduled tasks for various reasons. You could have been attempting to upload during one of those times.

We’re having problems uploading photos too (from Thailand) - they are all under 50KB so size is not the problem - we’re just trying with Explorer and Safari rather than Firefox - and hoping this might help.

Not sure if the problem is related or not - but we are unable to save blog settings as the server times out on this too.

Same problem with Safari & Explorer. Safari gives error message: Safari can’t open the page “http://www.divebuddy.com/blogs_custom.aspx”. The error was: “Operation could not be completed. (kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork error 302.)” (kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork:302).

We are also unable to upload photos to the Dive Sites section
