Looked at Maclearie Park and there were white caps with a stiff north wind and the viz did not look good. So wee headed over to Ocean Ave under the bridge at Shark River Inlet. So much better viz and conditions - the dive was great and was not nearly as cold as I thought it would be - so all in all a great start to a New Year of diving...

Agreed Carl, nice dive. I haven’t looked at my computer yet to see how long of a dive it was or how cold it was, my hands got a bit cold at the end but other than that I was fine. We’ll have to see if winter is really here to stay or if El Niño can make a few more appearances for us crazy wetsuit divers still diving in January. Was a good way to start 2016 though.
