High tide is around 9 am. Weather forecast is nice, a West wind forecast.
Consider Inlets or PT Pleasant RR bridge.
Might be our last dive of the year.

I went to Maclearie last weekend and did a solo dive there at 5:15pm high tide, visibility was 6-8 feet, I’d imagine it will be similar this weekend. I might be interested (I’ve never dove the RR bridge, is that your site of choice?). If I end up going down, just send me a cross street and I’ll find it with my GPS.

The RR bridge has more to see than Maclearie and deeper. It has a nice easy entry, close parking, and no boat traffic.
The current must be respected but after you do a dive and see how it runs—-not a problem.
This is a store next to the park.

So - be at the RR around 8:30am or are you thinking earlier?
Hope to be there - and I am hoping the viz is still good with this weather kicking in...

We can’t cheat the high tide at the RR Bridge. Figure slack 30 minutes after high. Maybe get in the water 15 minutes after high and stay along wall until slack.
I am thinking of getting down early and check out Shark river and compare to Manasquan.
Hopefully the vis Gods will bless us.

Going to go to RR Bridge tonight to catch the slack tide around 8:30 pm if anyone is interested in joining. If I am early I may also swing by Maclearie to check it out - or possibly on the way back. Will keep everyone posted what I find. :)

And did you mean Briadway Street? Can’t seem to find a Broadway in Pt. Pleasant.

There is a Broadway take the Parkway south to 34 south to 35 south cross the Manasquan River and Broadway is there go down to make a u-turn and come back up 35 north and make a right onto Broadway Gull island park is right across from the 7-Eleven. I’m here now so it’s real.

There is a 7-11 across the street:
420 Broadway, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742

Atlantic Spear and Scuba is just down the street to the East.

Railroad Bridge - on Broadway

Not sure if this helps or not - tried to display the google maps address - RR bridge on Broadway in Point Pleasant

I also noted High Tide seems to be at 9:29am too...

That does help Carl, thanks (Briadway took me to the same point actually via Google maps). So you thinking of meeting there about a quarter to 9 with the tide being later now?

Visibility last night was at least 5 ft. There was a slight green tinge in the water but it didn’t seem to damper viz. Wind was blowing hard though.

Good dive - thanks for the spare air... lol - won’t let that happen again...

I think we may have another one or two dives left in the season...
Tom had a great time so the timing was just right...

So, Saturday 3:15 pm is looking prime time for Shark River Inlet. We’d still have daylight after the dive, as the window to dive there isn’t too big. Any interest on A street and First ave? If we did it, this would probably be my last dive of the season. Too bad Thursday is supposed to rain, it’s forecasted to hit the mid 60s that day.
