Or do I have to go over to Cancun and Tulum etc. to go cenote diving?

Hey DiveGirl55! YES! There are definitely Cenotes on Cozumel, I have been racking my brain trying to remember what outfit i was with when i was there,because when i usually Cenote dive i go to the Yucatan Peninsula’s mainland because they are so many more Cenotes. But to your question, yes there are Cenotes on Cozumel. When i ask my buddy who we Cenote dived with on Cozumel i will hit you back.Not all dive operators on Cozumel do Cenote dives, or at least not the last time i was there in Nov. 2007

I am going to Akumal in August. I haven’t been there yet, but did some research and spoke to advertisers from the area at the diving show. It seems that all or most cenotes in the area are between Akumal and Tulum. I inquired about Cozumel which I wanted to go and they said there are no cenotes in Cozumel. Good luck, if you find some good spots and/or pictures would like to know maybe I can checkthem out when I go.

On Cozumel they have cenotes, but they are about 80-140 ft down. When there, ask about Devil’s Throat. You enter the cave at 80 ft and wind around and eventually come out at ~130 ft.
