I’m looking to meet some people and make some dive friends. I am new to the sport and would like to learn as I go and have fun with new people.

That’s a lot of areas :) I don’t think you’ll have a problem finding dive buddies. Use our Scuba Earth section to click around and find divers in those areas. You can send a message to them directly from the pop-up window on the map.

Amy, several of us, myself, Jimmy, and Bill Rivers, have reached out to you so far. Jim is good to dive on Mondays and Tuesdays, for myself, it’s Wednesdays and Thursdays, and Bill is pretty much anytime he’s not teaching. As I mentioned, a few of us will be at Devil’s Den tomorrow, then Alexander on Wed. the 23rd, then Blue Grotto on Thurs. the 31st, and finally, a night dive is scheduled for Wed. Aug. 6th, at Devil’s Den. Please contact me privately if you’d like to exchange numbers and be included in any of these upcoming dives.

By the way, like Greg mentioned about Scuba Earth, it’s a great program. When I first joined DB, I used Scuba Earth and contacted numerous divers. I ended up gaining 2 that became my best buddies ever to dive with. Since then, I subscribe to being notified by email whenever new divers in my area join. I then make haste to welcome them in, as I did with you. :-)

I’m good with diving every other Monday and every other weekend. I have a child so once school starts I’ll have more days available to dive. Welcome to DiveBuddy!
