Hi all: please let me know some good options for diving the pacific mexican coast; I will be there in the 3rd week of June; I have dived many times in the Yucatan, but never on the West coast. What are my options (I will be staying in Mexico city, but will be traveling to the coast for 4-5 days - don’t know where exactly yet). Thanks!

I’ve liked the dives off San Carlos, Mexico myself (near Guaymas). Its the same distance to there as it is to San Diego, California from Phoenix, Arizona. Its an old Club med location and has a lot of the tourist bonuses like fresh filtered water on tap at many of the hotels, clean ice and water at the many places to eat. Its still far enough North you can drive there with a special Mexican government permit. It’s within the protected waters of the Gulf of California (or Sea of Cortez depending on the side of the border your from?) So the waves are pretty small and the water is warmer. Acapulco and Mazalan might be some places to explore on the west coast of Mexico as well? I found this like refering to dives from there http://www.deepdiversions.com/destinations/epacific/mexicopacific.htm
