I have been wanting to dive this carrier since they first sunk it and I’m wondering if there is anyone else that would like to either meet there and dive it or go together and dive it.

Please email me if you’re interested in setting up a trip to go. I’m looking for a long weekend trip in May or June.

Thanks!

On your trip to the Oriskany, talk with catman. He has put together a trip in May 23 thru the 26. I belive that we are going to do two dives on saturday and then on sunday dive at a couple of springs.

Hi Nicky,

I live in Florida, and have been wanting to dive the O boat too; I have actually landed a jet on that deck and I want to see it underwater.

I could meet you there on most weekends in June

It’s a great dive. Mempilot and I dived it shortly after she went down and had a great time. While most of the ship is well below recreational depths the island and flight deck are large and have lots of swim throughs. The hangar deck is massive with lots of small rooms to explorer and they cut holes in the floor to aid in cleaning and sinking her so you can drop down several decks and checkout the living quarters. Of course these areas are in the 160 to 180 fsw range but are pretty cool to see if you have the proper certs.

Have a great trip and please post a report when you return. You can read my report at http://www.pensacoladivecompany.com/tech_review_1.html
