Who’s interested in helping out with a Lake Murray (OK) trash cleanup?

Hey
folks. I’ve been talking with the park manager at Lake Murray about
organizing a clean up in various locations on the South side of the
lake. They have offered to pick up and haul off any trash that we place
in designated staging areas. I am also looking at having the event
catered by a local BBQ restaurant. If I can get a few sponsors then the
food will be free for divers and shore support.
Unfortunately, I have limited time to make this happen as I know the
lake will be cooling very soon and not all dive dry or care to dive in
the cooler water temps. I had planned to organize this sooner, but
dropped the ball on that. Nevertheless, I am hoping to get this setup
soon and will be targeting a Saturday in October. When I get this setup
I will be inviting divers, dive clubs, shops, etc. Please share with
all your diving friends.....what will be important is that we get dive
teams signed up for this event...similar to Trashfest. If we cater for
free then we will need a count to give the BBQ place. Thanks for
reading. (Dan)

I wouldn’t turn anything else down for this. If you find something good to commit to then do so. I’m doubting it will happen anytime soon.
