Once I had learned to use Photoshop I discovered how nice the program is. Just learning the basics is the hardest part. Once you`ve accomplished the basics of any photo edit program the challenge is how far you take it.
The "layers" in Photoshop allow you to make insane amounts of adjustmensts, fine tuning, and corrections. One of my final projects was to take 1 pic from the net as a background and layer in 5 different items. I wound up taking a pic of me at the race track on my sportbike and layering it into a shot of the Denver park center so it looked like I had just rode through it and was ripping by the camera...created the shadows for the bike and all.
Comparing Photoshop to Print Shop, in my opinion Photoshop is the superior program, but it`s also the more expensive of the 2.
