We were on the Junk in Thailand in January 2012 and were involved in a crash at night. No one hurt, but it was an eye opener!

How did it happen? What did the liveaboard company do for the passengers (ie: money back, free trip in the future)?

It was at night

The live aboard "The Junk" passed close to a fishing vessel. In Thailand the squid boats have tens of thousands of watts in lighting. You can see them OVER the horizon. A supply vessel was on the far side of the fishing boat and left as the Junk passed. The lights blinded both captains and the supply boat hit us mid ship.

This was the last day returning to harbor and all dives were done.

The live aboard did nothing. They did not even explain what happened. I found out these details when they replied to my review on one of my websites scubatripreview.com. The night of the accident and the following day I thought it was the fishing boat that hit us. By the time I got up and on deck (they never felt it was an emergency and never rang the alarm) the supply boat took off as that captain was scared, so the only boat that was around was the squid fishing boat.
