Hello all!

I am stoked for this new dive season to kick off and I am disappointed that I will be in Duck, NC but it does not sound like diving will be available. I am heading there for spring break, March 21-27, and it sounds too early for the locals to begin the dive season. I am looking to find anyone who can assure me one way or the other that diving is available, inland or at sea. I would also like to have the opportunity to dive with a local dive buddy if at all possible. Keep in mind I live in OH so I know what cold is!

Last year I went to TN with a group of divebuddy.com members and we had a great time.

Looking forward to hearing from anyone with insight or who wants to dive!

I am not sure if anyone will be diving yet. I am stationed in FL now but when I was stationed in VA I was in the outer banks almost every weekend doing something. I typically just drove through duck on my way to corolla light to hit the beach and have fun in the jeep. If you can’t find a place to dive there is a bunch to do in the area, kitty hawk, nags head and hatteras are just south of there and always have something going on. If you have a 4x4 head up to corolla light and head inland over the dunes just watch out for the wild horses. If you fish the surf fishing is good and in nags head oregon inlet is good but you would need a 4x4 to get out there unless you want to carry your stuff a long way. If you can’t find people diving in duck(it is tiny) try kitty hawk there is a lot more there. If you have buddies you can probally charter a boat at one of the marinas and just get air from some of the local shops. Have a great spring break!
