There is AWESOME diving in Morehead City!! The U-352, sand tiger sharks, wrecks galore. It ain’t called the Graveyard of the Atlantic for nothing.. Go to Olympus Diving and book with them.. http://www.olympusdiving.com/

i second exactly what dale said. We weRE on the "Spar" in the middle of 12-15 sand tigers with 3 or 4 of them every bit of 8-10 foot long. AWESOME !!!

Tonya, I see in your profile that you only have 12 dives. The NC diving is indeed awesome but most of it is also advanced diving, most of the wrecks listed above are around 120’. Call Olympus and see if they are doing any inshore dives that may be more in your experience range. Ray
BTW, at the top of the page is "Dive sites", if you do a search there you can find discsriptions of the dive sites in NC and I just posted some pictures yesterday.

To follow up on what Dale said, Moorehead City has some of the best diving on the East coast. I use either Discovery Diving, in Boefort (sp) or Diver Down in Morehead City. Both have great boats and can get to and from divesites safely.

I agree with all of the above. Diving there is great! I have done quite a few wrecks out there including the U-352 and Spar. But again TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE!!!!! The NC/SC wrecks are great but I recomend a few more dives and training. The currents out there can make for advanced conditions. Most are at deapths surpassing open level diving. Check with local instructors down there, get there opinions on the wrecks they are doing while you are there. Have a great and safe dive!
