If it’s just the two of you maybe Hotel Cozumel, buy the meal plan but go into town for dinner, Casa Del-Mar up the road a bit more was good too.
Last time there our group which included one non-diver rented a home from http://www.gocozumel.com/homes.htm and I’ll never be able to go back to a hotel again, left the laptop on and connected to the included wi-fi so everyone could check there mail and torment those back in NJ who were chipping ice off their cars while we sat around our private pool :)
If you cook and for gifts to your cooking friends bring back some Mexican Vanilla, they now ask when I’m going back :)
For diving Blue XT Sea or DB’s own Chucho will pick you up and on their small 6-pack boats you have a DM more in tune with your level of diving and a bigger voice in where you are going.
