Myth: Inland lake diving is not as interesting as the ocean.

Truth: Find the wrecks or what was flooded when the man made lakes were built.

Beaver Lake, AR.: 60’ deep old farmstead with the house foundation, coral posts, yoke for a horse or ox team, cellar that the roof has collapsed and still has homemade glass jars of canned goods on the few remaining shelves.

Lake Mead, NV.: B-29 that was testing the heat seeker for present day air to air missiles.

Eielson AFB, AK: B-29 Lady of the Lake, an old B-29 that the base commander wanted out of his site, got towed to the frozen over lake during the winter. When the ice melted they found out the lake was not deep enough to completely submerge the plane.

I’m sure others can add to the list but you must look and behold the beauty that is there, it just may be different than what you are accustomed to.
