I went down there last summer and dove with Olympus Dive Center right in Moorehead City, I’d recommend them. I did the full day Spar shark dive and enjoyed that. Also, if you dive with Olympus you can get discounts on some of the hotels in the area, I stood at a big Hampton Inn down there which was only about a 5 minute drive from Olympus (was helpful since they want you dockside at 6:30am).
