Radio Island is a popular shore dive in NC. I uploaded a picture of a map with the spot to park and dive on the dive site listing on DiveBuddy. The walk from the parking lot to the dive site is a bit long, but it’s worth it. If you have a wagon with big wheels, that would make it a LOT easier. Make sure to dive this spot during high slack tide (check current tide charts). Stay on the surface until you get over the ledge to avoid the spiky sea urchins, then descend along the wall down towards the sandy bottom of the inlet. Expect to see flounder on the bottom and maybe a sea turtle or two if you’re lucky. You want to dive along the wall to check out all little fish and life growing there. Don’t ascend straight up because it is a high traffic area for boats. Ascend going back up the slope of the wall. Bring a safety tube for emergency use.

Have fun!
