Diving near Naples, Florida???
I am going to be in the Naples, Florida area in December and thinking about bring my dive gear along. My wife and I will be visiting my son and his wife in Sanibel from the 14th to the 19th. Any suggestions for diving in that area? Anybody want to hook up for a day of diving?

i don’t really have an answer to your question as i’ve been told that diving on the Gulf Side isn’t that great.


i went down to Marco Island in 2002 and when i asked around i could not find a LDS that did charters as they all said the vis sucked.


this could of been because of the time of year as it was the spring and they said that the run-off from the spring rains reduced the vis to 10’ at best.

Dove the shark tooth excurison in Venice on 22 November, vis was not that great, but we were only at 27 feet and about 1 mile off shore.


Venice is approximately 75 miles north of where you will be.
