I will be making a weekend trip to Greenport NY the first week in August. Can anyone tell me if there is a decent site for shore diving? I know that the current can be brutal in the area and if possible, I’d prefer not to end up on Block Island.

I sometimes dive at Suffolk Countys Cedar Beach in Greenport and on the USS Ohio. The Shore Diver book is kind of dated and the references are no longer there. Check with a local dive shop for better directions.
