Shark Fin Reef is formed of granite boulders and hard corals. During low tide 3 pinnacles break the surface, shaped like a shark fin, thereby giving the site its name. Among the boulders a lot of camouflaged marine life can be discovered as well as resting leopard sharks near the sandy areas. Pelagic fish like trevallies, tunas, manta rays and whale sharks are frequent visitors as well, and humphead parrotfish also live here.
