The lip of the wall rises up 20 to 30 feet and then tumbles over the drop-off, but the quickest way to the deep blue is to spiral down a funnel-like drain in the sand. It pulls you into a dark tunnel that elbows out and you into the deep blue of the trench at 110 feet. The mooring is in a shallow coral mount dominated by juvenile reef fish like blue- and yellowhead wrasse. The deep portions of the wall are dominated by large barrel sponges, wire corals and tube sponges. Jacks cruise with divers while they explore the deep fissures in the wall.
