Morton State Park is a good Pond for training. It has a picnic area and a easy entry/exit points. Mostly sand bottom but has silt and can reduce viz if kicked up. This pond is very clean and has no to little current. Depth are generally in the 25 feet but the pond is 50 feet in the center.Cold and not good viz in the center. Good parking, in the summer b-4 9:00 am free parking after 9 parking is $5.00. Lifegaurds are on duty in the summer.
