Not often thought of as a "dive site, " the Baltimore Harbor is not such a bad place to dive. While it can be a bit dangerous, the rewards can be many. American Eels, schooling menhaden, white perch, blues, rockfish (Striped Bass,) Atlantic Sturgeon, Blue Crabs, Zebra Mussels, various jellyfish etc... can all be found here. For those with metal detectors, you can stay busy finding everything from propellors to anchors and everything else you can imagine. A permit or permission may be required to dive in certain areas.
