            AKA Mama-San Beach
A small beach with facilities on the Ikei Island. As of September, 2011; the fee to dive is 1000 yen per person. The beach is owned by a local family, who have been improving the area for years. The parking lot attendant will probably show you to a special parking place if you tell him you’re diving. The beach is just a short walk through a rather overgrown trail (watch out for giant banana spiders!). A line separates the beach designated for swimming from the one for diving.
Take the road to Ikei Island, passing the Blue Lagoon. Just beyond the Blue Lagoon will be a small road to your left, with a sign in kanji and a red arrow pointing left. Take that, follow it until you drive around a metal building (apparently a cigarette factory). There will be fairly obvious signs to Oodomari/Mama-san after that.
Note: I had to guess on the average depth and visibility. The visibility when I went was particularly poor, but that could have been due to storms the day before.
