Access
A boat will be required to access the site (fyi, most marinas provide boat rentals). It is a very popular party cove on Lake Allatoona. Suggest diving before boaters arrive, meaning, Saturday/Sunday mornings or during the weekdays. Depth is upwards of 40-50 feet. Thermocline around twenty feet. Temperature will drop a good ten degrees (meaning 69-70 degrees at the bottom during summer months).
What to see
There are two rock walls that one can dive which are kind of nice. Both rock walls are only about five feet in height. They are both around the designated marker listed under Latitude and Longitude for site location. Not uncommon to see turtles and catfish down there.
On the other side of the island to this cove there are rocks and tree stumps. bottom composition is a mix of muck and hard substrate.
Dive Level
Safe for any level of diver. Overall, a very safe place to dive in addition to being an extremely peaceful and beautiful cove to be at. Relax on the boat. Take a dive. Great location to spend some time at.
