Comal River - New Braunfels TX

Loading...
The Comal River is the best Drift Dive in Texas!

Comal River in New Braunfels: at 2.5 miles long it is the shortest river in the world. The river starts and ends in New Braunfels. They are a lot of tubers in the summer time.

There are 3 points of entrance:
1. Landa R/V park (about a 1 ½ to 2 hour drift dive).
2. Hinman Island.
3. Lincoln-Garden Street Bridge, the last public exit.

You can go down the tube chute but I wouldn’t recommend it with scuba gear. Instead, try it with just your wetsuit and no other gear (anything not secured really well may be lost due to the force of the water at the end of the tube chute).

Many divers have found money, rings, keys, sunglasses, wallets, shoes, etc. in the Comal River, due to all the tubers.
