Cenote Angelita - Mexico

Loading...
First, a cenote (say-no-tay) is a sinkhole into the underground freshwater caves and rivers flowing under the entire Yucatan. Some of the lighting effects are the most beautiful I have ever seen. If you’re in the area you have to try a Cenote dive. Angelita Cenote is a stright down sink hole. It goes down 200ft (60m), but recreational divers stop at 130ft. The first 100ft of this dive is fresh water, followed by 10ft of Hydrogen Sulphite (where the viz is 0), then it is salt water the rest of the way down. A truely amazing dive - I promise. And when I went there was a Crocodile suning on the bank waiting to greet us.
