The steam powered freighter Saetia was built in 1918 and originally named Colorado. She was 322feet long had a 48 foot beam and displaced 2873 gross tons. On November 9, 1918the Saetia was cruising off Fenwick Island Light when she struck a mine laid by the U-117. The Saetia went down quickly. Fortunately all 65 of her crew escaped without injury. Today the remains of the Saetia lie upright in 90 feet of water.
