This site has a sand and gravel bottom extending out to about 150 yards, after that it is mud bottom. There are large rocks and boulders close in making it good for lobster and spear fishing. There are large rocks to the west for at least a half a mile. The point itself is about 225 yards east of the access point. I would recommend starting at the point towards the end of an incoming tide and drift dive the whole way down and either walk or swim back depending on the current.

From Aqua Explorers:

Take the Long Island Expressway to Exit 73 East. This will be Old Country Road and will change into Route 25, Main Road. Continue east on 25 until you reach the town of Mattituck. Turn left on Wickhan Avenue; this will change into Middle Road. Make a left onto Depot Lane, which will lead into Duck Pond Road. Be sure to stay on Duck Pond Road (it curves right towards the end). Parking here is not the best, but space is usually available for one or two cars.
