A great get wet place hidden in small town Iowa . About 15 min south of Clarinda Iowa set Ross Park, what was once a lime stone quarry is now a county park area. After being turned over to the DNR and local county the park became a popular party place for youth, now has become a nice quiet place for fishing and is also a great place to do some exploratory diving. There are car wrecks to be found in both pits and a max depth has not yet been meet in them. The first pit closest to the road is the shallowest one with an average vis. The back pit is best dived when the sun is the highest in the sky for good vis, with all the tree’s that surround it you loose light early in the afternoon. Not much for aquatic life was noted in the first pin during and exploratory dive, but the second pit further from the road boast a good amount of very friendly and inviting fish.
