Lady Bird Lake (formerly Town Lake) is a reservoir on the Colorado River in Downtown Austin, TX. It was created in 1960 by the construction of Loghorn Dam and is owned and operated by the City of Austin and the Lower Colorado River Authority. It is used primarily for flood control and recreation.
Scuba Info: Not sure what the whole story is here yet about scuba diving. It’s not deep and has a lot of hydrilla plants growing. Lots of canoes and kayaks on the water. Dove here once near Texas Rowing Center to recover a lost cell phone. From kayaking here, I can see there are some spots below that appear to have good vis.
