This was a great dive. It was an easy 70’ Viz tons of fish and big healthy coral. I can’t wait to go back.

Water temp right now is still 80 degrees at the surface. Last 2 winters it hardly got below 75 degrees...good for divers but probably not good for the corals.

Here’s a short page on Molasses Reef. It’s our most popular dive spot for our customers on our charters, for good reason. I know of no other site in Key Largo or any of the Keys that has more marine life. It took some damage from irma, but is recovering well so far.

A lot of stuff to see at Molasses Reef. And, I didn’t get to see much of the reef at all.

I need to go back when I can dive the reef more extensively. Not a great day of diving for me. There was a very strong surge that day, and I ended up getting sick. Honestly, I may have been sick when I went on the trip.

Every diver should dive at least a portion of Molasses Reef.
