The Willaurie Wreck - Bahamas

Loading...
The Willaurie Wreck is a boat accessible salt water dive site, located in Nassau, Bahamas. This dive site has an average rating of 3.50 out of 5 from 2 scuba divers. The maximum depth is 61-70ft/19-21m. The average visibility is 51-60ft/16-18m.

The Willaurie wreck is a favourite of most divers who know the area. She is 45m long and lies at a depth of 18m. She was sunk in 1988 and is now heavily encrusted in marine growth, the colour and variety of which makes her breath-taking. It is possible to swim in and out of the cargo hold, which is fun. The best coral colours and growth are visible at the propeller which is also a fantastic photo spot, but take a moment to scan the reef around you if you venture to the propeller as there is lots of life here. I can’t imagine you’ll have much spare time on a dive on the Willaurie as she is such a fantastic wreck, but if you need more, the remnants of a wooden Haitian wreck lie off the port side of the Willaurie.

Shallower wreck, good amount of sealife.
