hcdiveteambrian - 11/09/2012 6:12 PM Point Vicente Fishing Access (A.K.A. Cardiac Hill)Plenty of free parking at the top, bathrooms. The graded trail leading down has a handrail on the top half. The switchback is so long that the trail is long, but still good for 2 or 3 tanks in a day. Palos Verdes coves/dives are all famous for either being great or not. This place is a great starter trip on Palos Verdes, if you can do this, you can do them all. It’s one of the easy hikes. It’s a HardcoreDiveTeam starter site for new divers wanting to dive the Palos Verdes peninsula. It’s awesome dives.

Tromptista - 12/19/2011 11:15 AM Rating Added: 3 I went scuba diving here on 11/25/2011. Average viz: Under 5ft/2m. Water temp: 61-65°F/16-18°C. We diverted to Cardiac from Honeymoon which was being hit with large surf directly from the West. It was a difficult entry and exit with occasional high surf despite the entry facing south / south east. Very bad visibility, saw a leopard shark (tail), but the visibility was horrible. We thought we might have luck at the outer kelp. Toward the top 20 feet visability was good but all churned up on the sand bottom. This site has potential hope to return when conditions more favorable. It also has some facilities, restroom, drinking fountain, hose off station.
