Life is good. My family and I will be taking a cruise to Cozumel the third week of December and I am stoked. My wife is talking about how cool it will be to be on a cruise ship and I am talking about getting off of it - at least long enough for a day of diving.

Any recommendations for a dive operation in Cozumel? I understand the cruise line can set us up with an operator, but is that the best way to go? Any thoughts?

Greg and I have used www.searobincozumel.com each time we’ve gone to Cozumel. They’re awesome and don’t pack their boats! Great guys!

I always stay at Fiesta Americana and dive with Dive House. Dive House is very nice, but if you are from the ship, I am not sure if it is the most convenient or not. For great food, there are so many great restaurants and eating places there, such as:

La Perlita - great seafood, you can ask for dishes that are not on the menu like today’s catch, lobster, crabs, lion fish, etc

Parrilla Mission, La Mission, Casa de Mission. - Parrilla Mission is for more local people and have more local flavored dishes.

Otates - amazing tacos.

I always go back to Cozumel again and again; it is amazing place. I hope your trip will be wonderful!

I believe Dive with Martin is right at the cruise terminal...but then again there are 3 of them. Call Stacey at Vacation Connection for info on Dive with Martin 817 514 8747 and she can let you know if they have the correct times for your ship coming in.

When I go diving in Cozumel I use Scuba Shack. It’s within walking distance of where the cruse ships dock. Just put scuba shack in google and they come up. It’s a small shop and everyone is great.

Just got off the cruise from Tampa to Cozumel. The viz is over 100’, really incredible diving. I dove with http://www.divewithmartin.com/. I took my stuff and was planning on trying to do a shore dive becasue my wife doesn’t dive. We got there and she decided she wanted to shop; so, after getting off the boat with my 50lbs of gear I had to drop it back off on the boat. We finished shopping around 1pm and the cruise ship was leaving at 5pm. Dive with Martin has a shop right at the dock on International pier, and I asked if there was any way I could go out and get back in time. He said he had a boat going out right then. I paid $80 and dove with the dive master and one couple that worked on another cruize ship. No wet suit, the water was 79 degrees top to bottom. First dive was an 80 ft. wall drift dive with tons of swim throughs that required really good boyancy control. We swam over a 5.5’ nurse shark that was sitting in front of
