The wife (LoveToGoDeep) and I are planning a trip to Cancun, Mexico from Sept. 16 to Sept 23. We will fly out of Houston, TX on Continental Airlines and we will be staying at Temptation Resort and Spa. We are looking at diving packages to dive in Cancun/Cozumel and do 5-6 dives while we are there. If anybody is going to be in Cancun around those days or has any recommendations on dive companies to use we would appreciate it. The resort is an all-inclusive all you can eat and drink (premium alcohol), so we will probably not venture away too often to the clubs. But any other fun activities anyone knows to do in Cancun, let us know. Flight price and Resort for two all-inclusice is $1506 including tax and gratuities if anyone’s interested using cheapcaribbean.com. Can’t wait!!!!

Can’t make September with you... but maybe some other time.

If you can make it, I am going to Cozumel Aug 24th-28th and could use a dive buddy. I also go out of IAH (15 min away).

You may have read my previous posting on a similar subject, but here it is again, just in case. Read my further comments at the end:

Cozumel is a great place to dive. I have been there 12 times. Unfortunately, not lately. All the dives are good. Try to get a dive in the day you arrive with your good dive buddy. You can go in front of the La Ceiba hotel just north of town. This allows you to easily get a shallow shore dive under your belt before the big dive the next day on the boat. First dives, as in any resort, are deep and may be intimidating without some experience in the environment.

Secondly, I am about to spoil you on your first trip. If you can spend a night in Cancun, even on your way home, go snorkeling up the coast with whale sharks. For years it was my dream to do this, and I ended up finding it right here. Your hotel can set you up with a guide boat. Unlike the most famous spots for whale sharks, this place puts you on one
