I recently read the book The Last Dive by diver Bernie Chowdhury. I just happened to found it while looking for books on diving, why not try reading something that interests you, right?
I am sure some of you have read this book before, as it came out in 2000, but some may have not known about it. Although lamenting, it was one of the most educational (non-textbook), inspirational, and touching novels I have ever read. I recommend this story to all divebuddy.com members, it really is a must-read for the diving community...

Any of you that are familiar I would love to hear your thoughts on this :)

So far a great book, I have already read Shadow Divers and I’m learning a lot from it. I can’t wait to start doing Tec training with Bernie

I found a book titled "Hell Divers" at my local library, though it was not on the best sellers list, it was a little humorous in some of the adventures.
It also brought out the problems with not being trained properly.
How our equipment has improved over time.

I forgot about "Deep Descent.. " I read that one and thought it was a good book also..
Jerry, is the Bushman’s Hole book about Dave Shaw and what happened when he went to pull a body from it? I know the story, but I haven’t seen a book about anything..

I will have to pick that one up. I’m always looking for reading material.....the non fiction type. Dale, I read "Shadow Divers", great book. I was heart broken about the father and son though. Another good read is "diving into the darkness". it was the story od bushman’s hole in south Africa. The cave dive of close to 700 ft. Great Book. Very sad story.

"The Last Dive" was a good book. If you liked that, read "Shadow Divers." It’s the full story of the U-869 they died on and the 7+ years it took to identify it. Great book.. Supposed to be a movie in 2010 or so..
