Have been going out on local Southern California beach dives (Laguna Beach: Heisler Pk, Shaws Cove, Crescent Bay, Woods Cove: La Jolla: Marine Room, LJ Cove, LJ Shores; Palos Verdes: Long Pt/120 reef) once to twice a month since I purchased my first set of gear in 08.

I have also logged a week of dives at Wananavu in Fiji and another week at Cocoview in Roatan. I will take a trip to the dive park in Avalon in the fall when conditions become stellar, or book a boat dive with Barnacle Busters when I can fit it in my schedule. I also dive with South Coast Divers if a regular dive buddy can’t dive that day.

I like shore diving with just a few people at the most. I start checking the CDIP models/forecast around Thursdays and plan accordingly, and nix plans when swells are forecast above 2.5’ (adding a foot to swell model or 3.5’ on face of swells. no fun!!) I can usually make myself available one day of the weekend, or evenings during the week to dive locally with little notice. I have a steel 100 and steel 80 which are always full.

A lt partner who wants to dive together on scuba trips would be sweet one day : )
