  1. New Jersey North-East wreck diver mainly. I’m currently taking classes to be an Assistant Instructor and slowly working my way up to NAUI Instructor. I usually dive off the Venture III here in New Jersey or head off to Dutch Springs for some practice.

Unlike most divers I like it here in the North-East, adds a little excitement. I like it cold, dark, deep, and murky. I enjoy the feelings of not knowing where you are, which way is bottom, and what in the world is that huge shadow coming towards me? and of course...the famous where the heck did my buddy just go? :-) for me as a diver it’s exciting to deal and manage all these difficult aspects and overcome them SAFELY. I think it makes me a better diver and just adds that extra thrill to the day.

Then I go warm water diving and it’s like walking on the beach :-D

Unfortunately they turned out to be nematocysts from the coral, that infested and infected my hand! They eventually DID go away weeks later. I got the brilliant (maybe dumb) idea to take a needle and dig them out!

I did however, just get back from diving Roatan in December and ended up with over 100 sand flea bites that have now left both of my legs up and down PERMANENTLY scarred.

So, I do know what it is like to NOT feel something crawling, biting, sucking, until it is too late! And that was with 100% DEET!
