First began diving in 1986. I dove pretty regularly until 1992. Then began the dark days of my 14 year surface interval...don`t ask me how it`s possible I`m not even sure myself. Let`s just say I got married in 1993 and divorced last year...coincidence, maybe. All those years ago my cert was YMCA. I recently did NAUI open water and advanced. I`ll be doing rescue and nitrox in the next few months and plan to do PADI divemaster by the end of the year. Next years goal is to be an instructor. I need to dive....a lot. I am almost always open for a quick beach dive here in SoCal and will happily take part in more planned events as well. I hope to take at least one good dive vacation every year, and lots and lots of dives all over SoCal all year. Just picked up my PADI Lobster Diving Specialty......Probably tons of bug hunters without it, but I did learn a few things. Recently moved back to the Chicago area from SoCal. I miss the chance to just go dive on a Saturday in Feb, because I want to. I`ll have to plan better from now on.

Friday I will be doing harbor cruising in Long Beach Harbor, anybody want to come for boat rides around the harbor & the Queen Mary call my cell PH. 818-425-0304 park in the lot by the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium & I will pick you up at the boat dock there. I will be anchoring in the harbor for the night & watching DVDs having popcorn & drinkin some wine so anybody up for a movie? Then Sat morn ILL be meeting a group of divers in Laguna Beach & launching out of New Port beach Harbor for some diving along the coast of New Port & Laguna. Then if anybody has some interest in having dinner on Catalina Island or a night dive & a Sunday morn dive, we can go to Catalina too & be back early Sunday afternoon. Thats the advantage of having a big trailerable Cabin Cruiser, I can go anywhere I want & take my house with me. 3 beds, kitchen, bath, micro, BBQ, DVD movies, even a spot for a portable compressor.

jreitz1 - 7/04/2007 12:00 AM I saw on one of your comments on DayDreamer`s profile that you are diving on the Great Escape today. How was it? Did you get to meet Sean and Tasha? I know they were going also. Hope you had some good diving, since Laguna was closed for the rest of us.
