I’m trying to get back into diving after a long hiatus. At one time I had a lot of experience beyond my "certification level" as when I got certified there was only two levels: Diver and Instructor. At one time I dove almost every day when I lived in Key Largo. Several of my dive partners back then were former Navy and USMC Divers who certainly showed me a thing or two. Later, when I was a mate in an oceanographic vessel I was made "divemaster" because I was the only certified diver on board (certifications still weren’t that common in the mid 1970’s) and I dove and also guided dive trips in the Bahamas.

As I said, I have experience beyond my certification as I enjoy wrecks but still don’t have a wreck certification. I am NOT "wreckless" diver (pardon the pun) and don’t take unnecessary risks and believe in safety (and comfort if possible) in my diving (and boating).
