You would need a very big bath tub. :-)

No,no I’m not in a drysuit yet but I’m thinking about it tho. The guy I dive with wore one and he was all nice and dry after the dive last weekend. It was pretty cold last weekend (Air in low fifties, rain, and water was about 63). I’m kinda getting the feel for the place but don’t have it as good as I thought I did. Last weekend the viz was horrible (about 4 ft) and I lost track of where we were but the guy I always dive with he’s knows that place like the back of his hand. Ya, just let me know and we’ll probably be diving. If you can give me a shout a couple days in advance. I usually talk to my buddy on Thursdays if he wants to go.

Hey! You mentioned last time when you commented the shops you visited told you of some dive sites? Are they close or are they the big quarries(Gilboa, Whitestar, Circleville)? I am just wondering because I’ve been diving the dog pond with another buddy and its starting to get pretty lame. You can only dive a place so many times before it gets kinda boring if ya know what I mean esp. when theres not much to see. I think I’m gonna try to make it up to Gilboa atleast 2 or 3 times next summer. From what I hear and see it looks pretty neat. Actually the drive isn’t that terrible. I went to Put In Bay which is actually a little farther north than the quarries and it took me 3 hrs to get there. They got a DUI drysuit demo weekend up there to test out drysuits and I found a group of people on facebook (Ohio Quarry Divers) who dive there quite regularly who seem pretty cool. I’m just trying to find more places to dive than just the same place over and over.

P.S.
If you do go diving at the Dog Pond the water temp there last weekend was 60 so you’ll probably need a hood and gloves also. I am gonna try to go diving again on the 26th.

Ashley,

This weekend I am not going to be able to go diving due to a wedding. However, I just talked to one of the guys I normally go with and he said he hasn’t had nothing confirmed with the other guys yet on whether they were gonna go or not. He said most likely they will end up going. His name is Tim and he is from Tiltonsville OH. His phone number is 740-632-7046. He said feel free to call him if you have any questions. As far as places to rent, I purchased my equipment from Uncle Joes scuba in Coraopolis PA which is a little closer for you guys. Another place in Wheeling is Velas Diving. They usually meet at 1:30 in Bridgeport at Huntington Bank. However if they go to the dog pond in Cadiz you could probably just shoot across 22. If you decide to call Tim just tell him that I gave you his number.

Thanks for the buddy accept. FYI there’s a group of us who go diving regularly around the Wheeling area. We go on Sunday afternoons. We usually go to the Dog Pond in Cadiz Ohio or Friendship park right outside of Steubenville. If your ever looking to go diving just let me know and you could tag along with us.
