Hi my name is Ed, I live in Michigan and I dive year round. I do most of my diving in the St.Clair River, we have 1000’ ship’s that pass by,people have been using the river as a dump for over 200 years. And I find my share of artifacts, I have found brass portholes, hundreds of china pieces many with the ships name or company. My yard and my basement are like nautical museums.
I have a small boat that is set up just for river diving, and most of my dive friends have boats too. My biggest rush is when I find a ship’s anchor, we bring up several every year . Most of my friends have them in their yards, I have a large wood cross arm I found 3 years ago, I have it in my backyard next to my capstan.
