I just wrote an article on surface support responsibilites, do you think we should allow non-diving, surface support people on DiveBuddy?

Hi, thanks for the comment.

It’s true, The P’pines are closer, but I have a favourite place in Phuket, with instructors I trust. I have got used to the idea of going that far from home to get what I need. I’m not usually such a "misery guts" I have just got tired of hitting my head against the wall with trying to get something done here in Taiwan.

However, all that being said, I am always open to suggestions. Do you dive in the P’pines? Can you recommend a good centre??

I’ve been using an older Sealife DC500. It takes fairly good pictures considering I don’t have a strobe or the 100 ft visability. 15 or 20 feet average vis. around here.

thanks for adding me, Dick

All I have is a DC600 camera, I like it actually, it seems to be a good camera, I just have to learn how to use it properly, that and as you pointed out get the bouyancy thing down better under control. Also, I really NEED to get more diving in! I’ll be attending the scuba show convention in Long Beach, CA this year, I’m hoping to meet some cool people as well as get some more dives in then as well.

I must say, you have some really great photos! You must have been doing photography for quite awhile yes? I hope to have some great photos like yours soon. I have a few photos that are ok, at least I like them, I still wish to be better at it tho. It just comes with practice and experience I guess.
Matt65 - 3/18/2009 12:39 AM

I have been invited to go there in July with a friend of mine, sad to say tho that I cannot go, I can’t get the days off from work. Have you been here to the US?

Matt65 - 3/18/2009 12:31 AM
Yes, I have been to PI, but that was tears ago! Way back in 1986? I used to have asawa long time ago, she taught me most of my Tagalog.
