Completed my PADI drysuit class at Crusty’s Quarry this past Saturday. I am using a USIA Aqua Pro Plus and I love it!

Dive training coming up. Our dive team is taking a search and recovery class at the end of August and a night dive class in September. 3 new members have joined our team.

Sounds cool. I wish they did that here in Austin. All the Search and Recovery teams are run by the police or fire departments...no volunteers.
RescueDiver15205 - 8/20/2014 5:25 PM
Our team isn’t volunteer but we have worked along with volunteer teams. I am originally from San Antonio.

Finally going diving again, granted it is just at an indoor pool.

An unfortunate story that could have been avoided. Know your gear, know your limits, know your partners limits and above all SAFETY FIRST!

I am hoping to take the PADI Equipment Specialist course, Emergency Oxygen Provider course, Emergency First Response course, and possibly the EFR Instructor course this winter through spring.
RescueDiver15205 - 10/22/2013 10:50 AM
I am working on a lot of dive related projects. I finished my flat bottle "holder", my 1st generation cirle search weight is well underway, and I am working on a design for homemade throwbags. I am saving the bouancy skill device for spring. I am also working on designs for realistic weapons for searches. I will post pictures as I completed each project.

It sure does. I guess all the public safety divers are out diving :)
