The cool animal I dove with are Sea turtles, I was up close with them and it’s in my photo album. The do look like the turtle in Finding Nemo, I was hoping they would say "Dude! that is so cool!" back to me, but they just mind their business.

LaPaz Mexico has some very nice opportunities to dive with Sea Lions. Just like seals but a lot larger. The dives are shallow so you have plenty of bottom time to get your shots. Some of them actually nibbled on the camera gear and some of the divers.

I had a dolphin encounter in curacao. I also dove stingray city in grand cayman, and turtles at multiple sites. My best turtle dive was in Maui as there were so many in one spot as opposed to the one or two at the other dive sites I dove.

Seals, and sealions are cool, but orca’s in the wild are still the best

Had a surface interval that was a whole trip in it’s self. We had just surfaced from Landslide which is a divesite at Wolf Island in the Galapagos where we had been surrounded by hundreds of hammerheads.
The panga drivers says; keep your mask fins and snorkel on. He rounds a corner and we all role off over a humpback and her calf, a pod of dolphins riding her bow wave and being buzzed by sealions.
The next day during a SI a pod of about 300 pilot whales comes by, we role in ahead of them but they don’t even stop to say hello
